Your day commences with a visit to Rundale Palace, a jewel of the Zemgale Plains in southern Latvia. Constructed between 1736 and 1740, the palace was designed by the esteemed Russian court architect, Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli. It served as a summer residence for Ernst Johann Biron, Duke of Courland, and a beloved of the Russian Empress Anna Ioannovna. Following lunch, your journey continues to the captivating Bauska Castle. Situated between the Musa and Memele Rivers, near the confluence where they form the Lielupe, this castle comprises two distinct parts. The newer section, built in the late 16th century, served as the residence of the Dukes of Courland.
